Hello! My name is Adam Burton and I am currently studing at Sprowston Community Highschool Sixth Form. After taking Media studies at GCSE level it confirmed my enthusiaziam with the subject and encoraged me to take it into further education. Alongside Media I also took; Creative Writing, English Literature and History. This combination has really aided to my success as I have found that all subjects have transferable skills.

I find the film aspects of Media Studies the most interesting as I would like to go into the induistry after university. In particular I would like to write script and I have found that my subject choices have reinforces my future plans.

About me

This website

Me and the rest of my group, Aidan Rawlinson and William Tomsett, were given the brief to create an opening title sequence in the style of noir, 'Dog eat Dog'. Our take on the brief takes a more thriller interpretation of the the genre and revolves around a isoloated, drink depentdant detective filling in the last details of his case. On this website I will be answering a series of questions in various forms about the project with the benifit of hindsight. Below is a list of the questions;

 1. In what was does your media product use, develop or challenge forms  and

     conventions of real media products?

 2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?

 3. What kind of media institution might distribute  your media product and why?

 4. Who would be the audience for your media product?

 5. How did you attract/address your audience

 6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructiting

     this product?

 7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in

     the progression from it to the full product?
